world of warcraft had ruin my relationship with my fiance in the past,

for those who dont know what world of warcraft is a online multi player game on the internet, ppl from all over the world can play,

after meany fights arguments when we

first started to go out, 1 year later my fiance was happy to negoshiate..

ppl take the game so far that in 1 case a 14 yr old killed him self the way his toon died leeving a note behind saying i just want to be with my heroes

also, wow has a function for parents. its parental controls. you can set what times the account is able to log in.
so, not past 9pm, and not during school hours. ect.

WoW is not the only one that can do this. My middle one likes to play it, but I put it on my computer not his so that I could monitor the time he spent playing it. Like any games, they only get so long on there before I remove them from it. But the same goes for MSN, Bebo, X-Box etc with the kids, they are only allowed a limited time.

I too have had probs but with the PS2. one game took hubby away for a few months. it was a pain in the bum, he would just sit there 24/7 playing this game. in the end i hid it and coped a heap of abuse but then he realised that he had been playing it too much thank god this was before we had kids.

Some computer games and other things alike are so ADDICTIVE . . Look at Minti! ! ! He he he

But on a serious note, certain games should really only be for those aged 18+ and if you have a friend or family member that has a problem then I feel you should be proactive in trying to help them . .

everything can be ok in moderation.
my future bil plays the game, and his mother doesnt give any limitations on it, or encourage any other intrests. so its bad for him

i play that game, and depending on your mental state and real life problems, depends on how serious you take it.
people who had a crap real life, and needed to escape it, took the game more seriously.

at times i have taken it seriously. when my anxiety was worse and i had nothing much in real life. but anyone can fall into this kind of trap with anything. alcohol, drugs, other games, ect.

brodie granddad has that game, but i wouldnt let brodie play it, as its way too old for him...

That's not good that some people take it so seriously but I'm sure that a lot of people who do play are only playing for fun.
