the magic toy that made me sain

Anonymous Author (August 2007)

In the past few weeks I have written several questions and blogs about how my daughter has draw on almost every wall in my house.

Thanks to some great minti friends I found a toy called the aquadoodle, it has made me sain again. no more textas, crayons or

pencils. for one whole week we have had no drawings on the wall.

The toy is a mat which the kids can draw one and the special magic pens stamps and rollers dont have ink instead they are filled with water. the material in the mat reacts with water and the kids can make as much mess as they want cos its only water and wipes up easily.

If any one has artistic kids but wants to avoid wall art the aquadoodle is a saviour. and no i am not selling them or anything like that. lol

its also great for take to people houses it keeps the kids busy and they cant ruin anyone elses walls.

I got mine of ebay for about 40 bucks and i think its the best toy yet.

Good advice.  I also love the Crayola markers that write on nothing but the special crayola paper.  They are terrific.  I carry them in my car for my granddaughter to use when we go on trips.

Re: the magic toy that made me sain

yeah they were around 28 years ago  they were called "magna doodles" my boys loved it .

i would even muck around . it has a special pen tied to the board it was great except this had not water but a magnetic thing underneath hence the start of the name magna but  the concept was the same

i was fortunate becasue both my boys werent scribblers on the wall  my youngest tried scribbling in a couple of places but only minor . i laughed because the other day i found an old telephone directory book/ address thats no longer in use and my sons scribble is in there.

he is 25 now but it brought a "smile to my lips"

cheers annie

weve been looking at them to, as we want to move round for a while doing up houses making some money as we go to achieve the dream house they sound great to me as much as we like diy were a lil crazy there..lol we aint gonna get anywere doing the same house over and over so they really work???

I had one issue do you remember thoses screens we all used to have but if you pressed to hard it would be ruined do they do that or do they really go bk all clean to start again without the remains of the last masterpiece?

If they work let me know thts one xmas pressie sorted hugs jo xxx

Re: the magic toy that made me sain

I'm lucky grub hasn't attacked any walls, although he did do my carpet with a cd marker once about 12 months ago.

But we had one of those aquadoodles at playgroup and it was fantastic.

Re: the magic toy that made me sain
the pens a leak proof and i let them play with it inside but i have tiles no carpet so it doesnt matter plus there isnt that much water used so its perfect for both in and outdoor play
