Bumbo Seat

allyp by allyp Young Parent(July 2006) (rank 6th)

A bumbo seat is a seat designed for babies who can not sit in an upright position(but make sure that your baby is able to support his/her own head up). It helps them so that they are able to sit by themsevles without any support whats so ever. It's very

soft and comfortable so it will not hurt your baby, also its very easy to clean no straps to hold down your baby. Its also light weight and very portable. Easy to bring anywhere!!

Make sure to put it on a flat surface only(Floor ONLY). Not in a bathtub or ANY water. Just the floor is perfect!!!

I bought my daughter one today and she loves it. I took picture's, but i can't download them onto the computer at this moment.

The website is : www.bumbobabysitter.com

or at : www.bumboseat.com

Age suggested is 3-14 months old.

It is Endorsed by Paediatric and Orthopaedic Faculties

I really reccomend this bumbo seat to every parent out there.

I had to....
return mine because my little one just hated it!  I loved the whole concept of it and thought it would be real handy but Hayden would get frustrated being in it She's pretty vocal about being confined in anything!  I'm glad it works for others

Neat

My son loves his bumbo, when its outside. He doesn't really like sitting in it inside for some reason. And he doesn't like eating out of it. But when we want to set him in it to watch cars, there's nothing better.

Bumbo
I bought a Bumbo when my boy was a baby. They are quite expensive though as a replacement for a high chair it is reasonable. I bought mine for a lot less though. Unfortunately my baby (9mths) can now climb out of it so safety is a concern. I only use it on the floor. I much prefer it to a high chair.

I think these are great and do have one. The only thing I would advise people planning to buy one is to try one out if possible before hand. Although they are good, neither of mine liked ours. My daughter moaned fairly soon after being put in one and my son was too keen to get moving to want to stay put. They are quite expensive but last well, so are a perfect item to buy second hand. They do keep their value pretty well, though, so I am looking to sell mine fairly soon - it hasn't had much use, after all, despite also being lent to a friend. Her daughter didn't like it much either! I think they are a 'love it or hate it' thing for kids, so try before you buy if you can.

I do agree, trying it out before hand if possible is the best way to go. I wasn't able to try it out, but we bought it anyways. We put her in it, and she don't mind it. She sit's there quietly, and smiles and does whatever. As you can see in the picture, lol! Happy little baby she is!!

I put her in it when she eats because i don't have a high chair right now, but at least it's helping her to sit up properly :)

Yes, they are quite expensive, I think we bought it for $60(CAN) or $59.95(CAN)

Those seats are cool!
My sister has one for her son, who is seven months older than our daughter, and she swears by it. We are almost to the point where Esmee could sit in one of these and are definitely going to buy one.
