Be carefull in what you do around your child

I always try and watch what I say around my kids.  My spouse though has had to work on it since the beginning with our first child.  The older kids know better and around me they do not repeat what they've heard.  I also remind them that if they use curse words at school that the teachers or someone else will eventually know and get back to us on their potty mouth.  I know growing up, I cursed like a sailor when I was in school and the minute one of my teachers heard me use it too much, she threatened to call my parents and at that minute I stopped doing it (around her anyways) but it helped.

This is so true and good advice.  Many things from our childhood stay with us.  Some for good, some that are best challenged and changed, both for our own benefit and importantly for that of our children.

 My daughter is on the verge of saying her first word(s) and, unfortunately, I have somewhat of a potty mouth. Any suggestions on how to break the habit before it's too late??
