Plan the school holidays before they come

FremantleDocker by FremantleDocker Talking Back(August 2007) (rank 76th)

What i've just thought up is to plan your child's school holidays before they get here. You don't have to plan each and every day to the exact activity, or go out on a certain day, but make a list of the things you would like to do with your child in the 2 weeks they have off. Here is a list of things i will be doing this holiday's with my children

  • Go out to the park to find leaves, flowers etc for an activity or 4.
  • Go fishing
  • Walking around the neighbourhood to familiarize our selves on where we live
  • Going to my parent's place for the day, so they can spend some quality time with their grandparents.
  • Relax day, where they can do anything they like with in reason.

So you get the general idea of what the list might consist off. My neighbour told me she used to do this with her children, and i thought  it was an awesome idea.

If i had known about this when my older children were younger, it would've saved alot of hassles. LOL. I think a list would be great for the holiday's so you can be a little more organised.

Re: Plan the school holidays before they come

thankyou hermy. I thought it was a great idea also to plan ahead, instead of trying to think of something when they do ask me in the holidays, so i do this, so they can pick and choose what they want to do from the list i prepared earlier.
