Family Cars

ellamia by ellamia Talking Back(September 2007) (rank 51st)
Hi Everyone,

Now when you have kids alot of parents have to upgrade their car, I would like to say one of the best family cars are the mover car for example I have the Hyundai Trijet, Its fantastic. Its a 7 seater car the back 3 seats fold
down so you can put shopping and pram in there and theres still room. You have two back seats behind the front ones which you can put babies in. Theres nothing in the middle so you walk right down to the back and it is a 5 door car. Very easy to drive and park considering its size. To have a look at all the features here is a link.

Re: Family Cars
Sounds like a great car Kell! We upgraded from a Commodore sedan to a Commodore wagon (finally found our SS!) a month before number 2 was born and it was the best choice we ever made!

Re: Family Cars
I like the look of the Kia Carnival which is also what a close relative of mine owns.  I didn't have to upgrade as my first car was a family car luckily enough.  I bought a newer model of the same car when that one broke down for the last time.  As Deb has said, perhaps air conditioner controls, or any controls, where little people can reach them is not a good idea.  I've seen cars where the back seat riders can control not only the airconditioning, but also the radio! Ok if your children are older or if you don't have kids and it's only your friends travelling with you, but it's a crazy idea to allow children to have access to these things.

Re: Family Cars
Hi
We looked at the Trajet when our daughter was young and it was the most tinniest unsafest larger vehicle we have test driven.
The idea of air conditioner controls where little kids fingers are is crazy to start with
A teenager has trouble sitting comfortably in the rear seats.  So maybe yes for a very young family but not a car to grow with the family.
Sorry
Luv Deb
