Mums & Bubs Movie Sessions Hoyts

ellamia by ellamia Talking Back(September 2007) (rank 51st)
Hi everyone,

I dont know whether any of you have been to a Mums and Bubs Movie session but id like to say they are fantastic and strongly recommend it. They have a place to change baby and pram space at the front and have dimmed lights for feeding
They also have the sound down low so that it is still loud enough to hear but not to disturb baby too much. Most of the time they show PG movies and the movie is chosen by the Hoyts Cinema Manager and movies may vary to each cinema so do check on this and times. The movies are normally shown twice a month. So get out there and see a movie. Heres a link for movies.

Thanks for this Kell, there is no cinema where I live - closest one is 125km away - but I would love to go to one of these!

Hi Kelly,

Great advice hope you don't mind me adding some more.

if your in Melbourne then I have found out that it is not only Hoyts that do a mums and bubs session.  The Palace Cinema does one called Babes in Arms www.palacecinema.com.au  Also the Nova does the cry-baby session www.cinemanova.com.au.  Dendy cinemas eg the Kino does reel mums www.dendy.com.au.  All these Cinemas are simsilar to hoyts mums and bubs, check your local guide.   Not in Melbourne then I suggest. you google search your cinema or give them a ring...

Re: Mums & Bubs Movie Sessions Hoyts

Personally, I loved the mum and bub sessions.  I haven't been for a while but thought they were great.  Sometimes the movies aren't the best choices.  Once it was Pirates of the Carribean which was very long and loud.  My recommendation is to check each week at your local cinema for times and appropriateness of the movies.

But well worth the trip...oh by the way, the movie is cheaper too.

I went every weekt to our local cinema, they were fantastic.I agree you could really expand this article. You could tackle the noise issue, the type of films, the age of the bubs, can you take older syblings.Luv Winnie.

I agree with nell, you could expand on this a little more, explaining exactly what a Mums and Bubs session is and that they are only on on certain days etc.

But I agree with you that they are really good, I never got to use them - they weren't around for my first 2 and for the 3rd I never had time.

I'm not saying this is not a good point, its just I don't feel comfortable giving this a higher rating when some members spend hours preparing an article.
If you expanded on this you would get more interest
Please don't take this as out and out criticism I just don't like to leave a 3 star without explaining why
