Hello Minti community,
As parents we are role models to our children. We are their tool in determining right from wrong. We are their teachers and we need to teach our children about acceptance.
Acceptance is the action of experiencing a situation without intending to change that situation.
Acceptance does not require that change be possible nor does it require the desire or approval of those accepting of it.
We need to practise acceptance not only in our everyday lives but also in our online communities, such as Minti. We all come to Minti seeking to learn others advice and to become better more informed parents. We are here to create a database of information exclusively made for and by us. If we come across information that we do not agree with we must not actively rebel againest it, harsh words only hurt the spirit of those saying them. People have opinions and there will always be someone whos opinion does not reflect your own. You don't have to agree with everyone. This is where acceptance comes in. We can actively discuss things even have heated debates but this must always be under the umbrella of acceptance.
Don't stress yourself out on the little things! There are issues out there bigger and more important than who argued with you on Minti! Global warming? War on Iraq?
Now please don't get it twisted this advice is not intended for any one person it is just a guideline for a healthy online experience after some general observations I have made recently.
Practise acceptance & play nice!
It's not going to kill you.... But a heartattack from all that stress might!
