removing mould from clothes

5kids by 5kids Speaking(September 2007) (rank 210th)
if u have a mould problem with your clothing buy EXIT MOULD and spray on the offending peice of clothing it will come right out, sometimes it takes the colour out of the clothing but hey the item is already ruined isnt it so there is no problem  and sometimes
u can save your favourite peice of clothing.

Re: removing mould from clothes
I think I would try lemon or vinegar first... Exit mould is very harsh, I don't really like to have it in the house.  I might try it on our blinds though, as they have a little mildew (if the lemon doesn't work).

Re: removing mould from clothes
Not sure about on clothes but you can use this on your blinds....add 2 drops of tea tree oil to half a cup of cloudy ammonia and apply to mould areas and scrub with a stiff brush. Rinse with water.  Or a tip for bathroom tile mould is to wipe vinegar onto mould and leave overnight and scrub in the morning.  You can always test on a small patch if your not sure.

Hi
Cheaper to just buy lemon bleach
Normal bleach is basically whats in exit mould
Think i would try the lemon first lol...less chance of killing my clothes lol
Tie dye is coming back in fashion...i'm gonna bring it back in teaching the kids lol

Haven't had a problem with mould since we got past the dribbling stage.  Will keep these tips in mind, lemon is always available in our house.  Will let friends with little bubs know!

Re: removing mould from clothes
Another good tip is lemon juice . . . . Place some lemon juice on the mould and then sit out in the sun for a few hours. Then wash as normal . .

Thanks for the tip . . . Cheers Kellz

Re: removing mould from clothes
i'll give it a go next time and see. but you are right the item would be ruined anyway with mould on it. and you could always tie dye the gaurment and make it look trendy. if tie dyeing is still trendy doubt it though thanks for sharing
