Breast Pumps From EBAY

SavvyMummy by SavvyMummy Speaking(October 2007) (rank 192nd)
For all expecting mummies who want to breastfeed long term and have to return to work, you can probably think about investing in a good breast pump.  I used the Medela Pump In Style before and it was fantastic.  But it was very expensive. I know that Ebay has quite
a lot of Medela breast pumps selling at affordable prices. You need not get brand new ones which can cost between 500 to 700. For those who are interested, you may visit ebay.  Registration as a member is free.

You may like to visit www.medela.com to find out more about Medela's breast pumps and related stuff...very good website. Medela is probably the most reputable brands of breast pumps on Earth.  They specialise in breastfeeding.  I used the Medela Pump In style who has dual pumps and it is more efficient and time-saving to use.  The pump is also gentle to use on the breasts.  It is compact and you can bring it along anywhere as long as there is power supply.  The whole pump can be packed into the backpack that comes along with it.

Also, you can visit www.avent.com to find out more about that brand too...They have the electronic duo isis and they even have the video to demonstrate breastfeeding but it is very expensive and i have no idea if it is fantastic as i have never tried it before.

A good website for breastfeeding is www.drjacknewman.com.

Re: Breast Pumps From EBAY

I bought a Avent Manual Breast Pump from my local chemist as i was using the avent bottles. I found the Breast Pump to be easy to use and clean. I havent used the Medela Pump but can recommend the Avent.  I still have my breast pump and im about to sell it to a friend who is pregnant with her first child. I payed around $100 for my breast pump that came with 2 little bottles and all the attachements as well as storage containers to be able to freeze in the freezer.

Re: Breast Pumps From EBAY
My first pump was a borrowed avent manual and I had a hard time using that. I guess it was also becos my milk hadnt come in yet during those few days after i delivered my son. I found it hard to use and ended up having terrible back and shoulder aches plus strawberry milk (blood in milk). My husband saw how much i was suffering so he got me a medela mini electric.  For the Avent manual, i think it is good for those mums who have lots of milk but it may not be ideal for trying to establish milk supply right after delivery. And for the Medela mini electric, I only learnt later that it is meant for occasional pumping and is very noisy. The motor is not suitable for regular usage.  So eventually, i managed to borrow a Medela Pump in style which is fantastic. I will probably standby this pump again when i have my next child.

How much does it cost to hire from the pharmacy? will it be cheaper to buy from ebay? It costs between 200 to 300 over at Ebay.

Re: Breast Pumps From EBAY
I agree with Angieh, you should have put this in your article as well.  I used a Medela pump which i got from Nursing Mothers Assn.  I brought it by a rep in my local area and it was only $25 - that was about 7 years ago though.

Sounds good. But maybe you can expand on this a bit more, like why was the Medela Pump In Style fantastic and things like that. =)
