Many of us parents have trouble when it comes to the bath time. Although most kids love the bath, they hate getting their hair washed and rinsed. Well, mom Karen shared this little tidbit with Parent Hacks and I thought I’d bring it to you all. She bought a plastic watering can and uses it like a baby “shower” while her little one is in the infant seat. When her son is hesitant to getting his hair rinsed they pretend he’s a flower that needs to be watered. I’m sure it works equally as well in rinsing his body off too.
Not nearly as clever but often effective, I ask my daughter to look up at the sky and try to count the stars. We sing “Twinkle Twinkle” and then count slowly together. The game will usually last long enough to get the shampoo out.
And as a bonus, I promise to give her a handful (or cupful) of the “suds” I get from lathering her hair. She gets excited enough for her “prize” to be patient as I rinse.
