If you have just found out you are pregnant now is the time to see your doctor or midwife to arrange ante-natal care or if the pregnancy was/is unplanned you may need to seek advice or counciling. Your local family planning services or doctor/midwife will be able to offer advice
and help.
You may be experiencing or continue to experience pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness, fatigue, tender breasts, missed period, urinary frequency and finding it hard to get comfortable while sleeping. You can decress pressure on your bladder by sleeping on your side.
To help ease the discomfort of morning sickness try eating dry toast or biscuits first thing in the morning and eat smaller more frequent meals during the day.
The embryo's eyes have now begun to form and little skin folds where the ears will develop. The embryo is now the size and shape of a small kidney bean. The heart will beat around 150 times a minute.
Nows the time to speak to your doctor about taking folate sumplements or a pregnancy vitamin suplement.
