7 Weeks Pregnant

ellamia by ellamia Talking Back(November 2007) (rank 51st)

The embryo has quadrupled in size around 13mm in length and the nervous system is developming well. The baby is starting to move its body, arms and legs. These movements can be detected by a monitor, but you will not be able to feel them. The lungs, liver and kidneys are starting to develop now.

The embryos arms and legs are forming and developing although they don’t look like much at this point maybe slight webbing. It may even look like your baby has a tail which is actually his/her tailbone forming.  It will disappear in a couple of weeks and the embryo has doubled in size from last week.

There will still be morning sickness this may progress up until 12 weeks into your pregnancy. Still eat healthy foods like fresh fruits and veggies. The brain is growing rapidly and his or her appendix and a pancreas, is growing to form insulin being produced later on.

Teeth may start to form in the baby’s mouth at this stage. The embryo is starting to get quite comfy in the womb at the moment. You will still experience breast tenderness and the areola will change darker and darker as the weeks pass.

Remember to drink plenty of fluids and nice healthy eating.
