This week the placenta is pretty much established now. The baby is now 4cm (1 inch) in length, the embryo has now evolved into a fetus. Its brain is developing rapidly still and the umbilical cord has formed and he/she is now drinking the amniotic fluid right now so whatever
you eat or drink will be transferred to baby. Ears are starting to develop and the mouth is now able to open and close. She/he weighs approximately 1 to around 1.5 grams.
Baby has begun movement it is still quite small for you to feel anything but your little one is moving and wriggling in the womb already. You will find that most of the joints are formed now and is already doing some flexing in the womb right now.
At 9 weeks you maybe able to see your infant trying to place its fingers around objects in the womb like their fingers, nose, ear etc. The internal reproductive organs have also started to form like the testes for the boys and ovaries for the girls. You still won’t be able to tell if it is a boy or girl at the moment.
You will still be feeling the morning sickness if you have this try some cracker biscuits nice and dry ones and it is best to eat small meals over a daily basis. This will make you feel less sick.
This is a 9 week old fetus
