Well have made it to the Second Trimester and the babies intestines are migrating from the umbilical cord into their abdomen. The baby’s body is growing rapidly and the placenta now maintains the pregnancy by applying nutrients and oxygen to baby. The baby is already practicing swallowing the
amniotic fluid that is surrounding them and then will pass it back their by urinating.
Baby is around 7.4cm - 9.5cm long. Their body parts like ears and eyes become more closer and develop. Also baby is now able to smile it is doing this right now in the womb. Its vocal cords are developing and baby is looking more and more human.
Many mothers to be say that Second Trimester is their best, they feel great, they aren’t as tired, have more energy and aren’t going to the toilet to frequently. The first trimester is over so most of you maybe over your morning sickness, if your not don’t worry, as some mothers to be may experience morning sickness up until the birth of baby and this is normal.
This is the trimester when you need to listen to your body, you are starting to show that your are pregnant now but maybe not at all yet, but if you feel tired you need to rest. This is maybe the time when you tell family members and friends if your ready. It all becomes all so real and exciting. So spread your joy that you are going to be parents or a mother. If you still haven’t started your pregnancy vitamins please start as soon as possible, they are good for you and baby to be healthy and have more energy.
