Be Positive (Part 1 0f 2)

Amerlinwinga by Amerlinwinga Talking(December 2007) (rank 122nd)

Children and being positive:

Children need to be encouraged to grow up like themselves,so that they can develop their full potential.

You can help build your childrens self esteem if you:

Let your children know when they do things well

by using positiveword or more like encouraging words.

Remember-eventhe simple task of trying a shoe lace can be quite an  achievement for a small child.

Regularly tell children and young people that they are special, loved and wanted.

Share childrens disappiontments- talking with them when things dont go well.

Aviod yelling and using hurtful words when you are fustrated and angry.

Take a deep breath b4 you speak. Listen to what you say and how you say it.

Encourage children to share there feeling with someone they trust and share your feelings with them too.

Be constructive in your criticism and talk with children about ways they could handle the things they do wrong.
