A Christmas Wreath Here’s a fun idea for the whole family!
- Cut out a circle out of stiff card ( As large as you want your wreath to be!)
- Cut another circle out of the middle so that you have a ring.
- Now for the fun part!!!
- Get all members of the family to press their hands onto a plastic plate with watery green paint in it and fingers spread wide make handprints on paper. To make it even more interesting, you could use different shades of green – from light to dark or swirl a couple of greens together for a dappled effect.
- Also paint the ring green.
- Once dry, cut out all of the handprints.
- Starting on the outside of the ring, glue on the cut out handprints with fingers facing out and overlapping slightly.
- The next layer should have the fingers overlapping the palms of the first layer. You only need to put glue on the palm sections so that the fingers remain feathery!!!
- Repeat until you have reached the inside rim of the ring. You should have a feathery effect.
- Add some small cut out circles of red paper for the berries
- You can even add a gold bow to complete!
Makes a great keepsake - you can even write the childrens names on the prints so they can see how much their hands have grown next Christmas ( or stick one on the back with their name on it )
