My experience at 8weeks pregnant

dannii17 by dannii17 Talking Back(December 2007) (rank 94th)

Hey well im approximaty 8 weeks and 2days pregnant. Im feeling extremely tired and the only way to get out of it is to sleep!! You need all the rest you can get so if your tired i say sleep..My somache seems to be buldging out a little bit but

i  think i may just be bloated or could be putting on weight as ive been eating like a horse.getting into that i cant stop eating, im tending to eat alot of biscuits, dry, ginger and some chocolate. At around six weeks i was really into chocolate but now i dont feel like it.Ive been turned off alot of foods.I am also easily irritated right now, like i cant be bothered to take a joke anymore and nothing is funny to me. I dont enjoy being like this and i guess no-one does but its the hormones not me!! One thing i cant stand is when people tell me im grumpy, bitchy ect it gets me more angry im just tired and cant be bothered arguing so i yell. Hopefully this wears off!!!

SOME PAINS: My back is aching so bad, im not enjoying this as i know the further along i get the more intense the pain gets ;( i Find sleeping with alot of pillows and a small soft pillow under my lower back relaxes me alot ...CONSTIPATION: Oh this is hell, i dont even want to get into it all i wanna say is drinking water is starting to help ease it. Everytime i sneeze i get a sharp pain in the abdomen, i was really worried about this but have found that its due to growing and stretching to help this you should hold your stomache during the sneeze, its helped lessen the pain for me ...also i just get pain for no reason in my abdomen which is also from growing. My doctor has told me unless the pain is unbearable or any blood is present not to be alarmed,if really worried go to the hospitaland be checked over. My boobs are so sore lol, i can tell they have grown and its still so soon. They are so sensitive and i even find it hard to wash in the shower, i still have no answers to help this one ;( ...As for the nausea ive got it from when i get up till i fall asleep..Ive only thrown up the one time which was only a little in my mouth and more like acid. Ive been munching on the ritz crackers alot and it seems to settle my stomache a little...PIMPLES: YES!!! Definetly copping some pimples,i had small ones on my forehead ,they are starting to calm down alot now, i have a blind pimple on my chin :( so painful..ive just been putting alot of water on my face to keep my skin hydrated.

So over all i might sound like im nagging but this is what im truely experiencing. I hope what I've written will help anybody in need of answers or just want to know if what there experiencing is normal, Because before i found out answers and helpful hints i felt like i was the only person experiencing these certain symptoms and felt ABnormal lol.

Love Danielle and Lima bean

Lima Bean!  love it!

I hope the remainder of your pregnancy is smooth.  It sounds like you are going through all the typical things expectant mothers go through.

I'm sure this will be of benefit to other first time mums.

Hi Danni and you lima bean! (my mum calls them jelly beans lol!)

Beleive me girl- I know what your going through. I was sleeping like you wouldnt beleive before i knew i was pregnant, and my second pregnancy was hell... i sitll have the morning sicknessaspect- I cant eat anything like scarmbled eggs or anythign made form mince.... makes me feel reather sick. I now have a bit of an issue with oil lol...  not such a bad thing i guess..

I do have a solution for your boobs!! Try using one of those fluffy net loofah snge thingies. they are very light and gentle, but can be used to scrub like crazy as well. also saves you a bit on bathroom products lol.

If you look at some of my earliest advices and blog entries you will see a lot of similarities and suggestions for different problems. for your back pain WEAR A FIRM BELT.  suring my second pregnany i ended up wearing a hideous elastic belt from the hospital because my pelvis wassreading and it HURT. belts and relatively firm fitting pants during pregnancy help a lot in prevneting this.

Good luck!

Re: My experience at 8weeks pregnant

At 8 weeks pregnant with my first, I was extremely fatigued too. Everything took effort to do. The only the thing that was effortless was that I could fall asleep within 5 minutes of sitting down.  I, too, lost my sense of humor. I think it just too much effort to trully digest the joke and to laugh.

With my twins, I wasn't fatigued at this point. My main enemy was smell. Everything was so smelly to me..even food. I swear I could smell foods just by thinking about them and it made my stomach uneasy.

Thanks for sharing your experience!!
