By now your probably feeling fed up, exhasted and eager to meet the life you have been growing over the last 36 week. Well thats how I feel anyway!
Im growing more and more impatient every day. I just want to hold and smell and hug my little
baby. I also want my body back! As the babies head lowers deeper into yopur pelvis things like walking, sleeping and sitting become hurtful and exhasting. I have found that swimming or taking long baths helps relieve the pressure on your body and takes the weight of your back. A hot bath before bed with a drop of lavender in it works wonders, this may also help relieve the "restless legs" most women experience at this stage.
Oh that reminds me... leg cramps are becoming worse and harder to deal with... I wake up to cramps in my clave muscles and it really hurts
Some people say that when it cramps up you are ment to extend your leg but im to scared to do that I just rub the muscle till the pain goes away...
I had a midwifes appointment a few days ago, they said the babys head was 3/5 above the brim... which mean he is positioning himself nicely for birth.. yay. It also means my lungs will have more room to work and breathing will become easier...
They also discussed my pain relief options for the labour. Its good to get as much info as you can on all the different types of pain relief so you can make an educated decission. I still havent made my mind up, at this stage i want the opetion the have a epidural available to me and the option for a water birth also available. I let the midwifes know this and they have booked my birthing suite in a room with a large bath.
The midwife also said that by week 37 i will be full term meaning that if i do go into labour the baby wouldn't be classed as premmy, so its important to have your labour bag, baby bag and any other arragments like how ur getting to the hospital or who looking after your other kids if u have any all set and ready to go. How exciting......
On saying that i havent packed my labour bag yet
but i have bought several packets of maternity pads and have everything i need to take sorta at arms reach...and thanks to the technology of camera phones if i forget to grab my camera i can use my phone to take plenty of pics... the baby bag is packed tho. I have nappies, wipes, powder, baby wash, singlets and body suits and blankets all ready to go!!
If bubs is born in the 37th week they said he will be approx 3kg which is the average for bubs born at 37 weeks...
well i think that covers most of the things happening this week.. if i make it to week 37, ill let you know
thanks for reading
