Well im approximatly 13weeks pregnant at the moment. I thought i would write an article about this so people can read this to see what im experiencing or may want to see whats normal at 13weeks.I also believe this will be a great read for first time mums.
My
energy is finally starting to come back and this is making life so much easier, but i know by the start of the 3nd trimester its gonna go back down again :( Before i fell pregnant i only weighed 49kg, and now im weighing in at 53kg wowwww..4 kgs is a big change for only 3months but its all normal and you cant see where its gone too besides my baby bump. Im also starting to lose my appetite, but i try to eat as much as i can. I remember at 8weeks i couldnt stop eating lol... Im also starting to feel some discomfort in my abdomen and it gets painful, just a little more than a menstrual cramp, but i had this checked out by a doctor as i was really worried. He had told me its my musscles stretching and uterus growing. If the pain is unbearable i say go straight to the emergency and defenitly if any blood is present. Im also getting some stabbing like pains which my doctor has told me is Round ligament pain and very normal, you should just rest. The pain shouldnt last for long it should only be a brief sharp pain. If the pain persists you should definetly go see a doctor asap.
I have also been getting leg cramps, try to stretch out your leg and wiggle and flex your toes back and forth. When your further along the cramps may worsen as your carrying all the extra weight.
I have already gone one size up in pants, and its better to wear loose compfortable clothes, then you will feel more better. Also the pimples have gotten alot worse, and dont worry it's just the hormones taking over and the pimples should go once the baby is born.
Im getting very dizzy and light headed at times, mostly when im sitting or laying down and get up really fast. This is due to the increase in blood volume or may be that your lacking protein. You may also be experiencing bad headaches like i ahve been :( Im not into taking medicine pregnant or not, but i must admit, ive taken panadol twice in the last 2weeks because i couldnt handle the headache any longer. Panadol is safe to use during your pregnancy but should only be used if its a must and you cant take the pains and aches.DO NOT USE NUROFEN OR ANY OTHER PAIN KILLER BESIDES PANADOL/PARACETEMOL...
Last of all be sure to keep taking your prenatal vitamins. These are to make sure the baby is getting any additional vitamins and minerals that he or she needs.
So this is the last week of the first trimester and the risk of misscarraige has dropped dramatically, so you should feel more at ease now,as i am.
I hope you all enjoy the read, and i hope this can help people out. Thanks for taking the time to read my article..
