CENTREPAY

Centrepay is a voluntary bill paying service, which is easy to use. It is convenient as you can start, change or cancel Centrepay deductions at any time to suit your own personal circumstances.

Customers who choose to use Centrepay also benefit from knowing that

their payments are under control. Instead of having large bills every month or quarter your bills are paid in manageable amounts from your payment, making it easier for you to budget.

Which bills can I pay with Centrepay?

Private rent

Telecommunications

Electricity

gas

water

Education fees

expenses Ambulance costs

Child care

Home care services

Rental of household goods

Court fines

how great is this never worrys how will i pay this as it is paid for you . so ring you bill provider and centrelink to work a plan for you .

this is more for parents than family . but if you are on a tight budget and get centrelink this is a good idea . we have our phone , foxtel , our mobiles ,gas, electricty and water all come out of our centrelink i never have to worry about bills as it is paid for me out of my centrelink before it gets to me . The hubby and i pay $10 a fortnight on water our water bill is like $300 in credit . the only thing we have to worry about out of hubbys wage is rent . great i think .

Centrepay is a free direct bill-paying service offered to customers receiving payments from Centrelink. Through Centrepay you can choose to pay bills by having a regular amount deducted from your Centrelink payment.

Re: CENTREPAY

Centrepay may be a great way for some people to keep track of their money.... HOWEVER i do believe that if you have someone else budgetting for you then you will never learn or get experience with how to handle money properly.... that's just my opinion. Yes, i am on centrelink benefits as a partnered parent and get the family tax benefit and the only thing that comes out automatically is my mortgage repayments....but the bank does that not centrelink.
I don't struggle to keep up with anything but then again.... i am pretty tight fisted when it comes to spending money haha.

Good advice though bel, thanks for sharing.
