Removing the smell of baby sick.

loopylisa by loopylisa Talking(March 7th) (rank 284th)

My friend came earlier with her 8 week old baby who promptly projected vomit onto my carpet! My friend said to use bicarbonate of soda over the sweet smelling patch, then scrub with a damp cloth. Guess what-it worked, she said the bicarb neutralises the acid. Well I didn't know that-wish I'd known when my twinnies were babes!

Re: Removing the smell of baby sick.

Again, this is a great tip Lisa, and I will be sure to try it out to see what else it works on.  I think it would score higher if you plumped it out a little.  You could tell us how you actually cleaned it before deodorising, and what other methods you have used in the past etc.  Otherwise, there is a great group for short advice, and there are also a couple of groups for environmentally friendly ways of cleaning etc.  However, don't be discouraged, your efforts are great. Lui.
