faybabe by faybabe Speaking(March 26th) (rank 500+)

hi this may sound funny but for boy put a coulpe of pinpon ball in the toilet and get them to try hit them .It mostly work on girls to because if they go to the toilet they still be able to hear the sounds of the pinpon balls in the toilet it work for me .I always made toilet training fun you find it the easy way to do it .You can make a award system up for all the times they go to the toilet they get a star or something on the frig ect and after 10 or whatever or how mean times as you like and have a seat award for them that i leave it up to work on that one .MY main advice is keep trying that will be toilet trained some are fast them others .Most people will see there second child can toliet train fast as they watch there old brothere or sister going to the toilet .But even them keep making it fun for them .One bad experince in toilet train can make it take longer so alway watch them with toilet training

Re: hi

Hello I'd like to make a small suggestion if you don't mind.. I have noticed that you have two articles of advice labeled as Hi...

I think you'd have better traffic if you changed the titles to what the advice is pertaining too..

Jess

Re: hi

I did the ping pong ball with the boys, and it worked for me, but everyone's different and different things work for different people, but this idea is great and so is the sticker chart like mum2b84 said

Re: hi

I haven't had to potty train a boy yet but will get that experience in the future now. Will remember this advice when the time comes.

Re: hi

Hi,

Thanks for putting this up . . A friend of mine has used this method with all 3 of her boys and says its a GREAT way to teach aim and also make toileting fun . . . . She had 3 different coloured ones . .

Well done on this article . . May I suggest that you change the title from 'Hi' to "Toilet training tip for boys' and this may give you a larger amount of hits and comments . .

Cheers Kellz

Re: hi

Hi - yes i have heard people have done this before.

what do you do with the pin pong balls when other people are using the toilet?

do you flush the toilet when they are in there? where do you put them? :)

Re: hi

Hi Clay,

You can leave them in the toilet as the do not flush . . Or you can remove them after you have flushed, a friend of mine kept a little fish scoop in the toilet to remove the balls . . She cleaned them everyday when her sons were sleeping.

It really is a GREAT way to get a little boy to aim . . ..

cheers Kellz

Re: hi

Hi Kellz

Thanks for that - i think I may try that with Joshua, and maybe even Codi to improve his aim now.

Re: hi

my dad did that with my brother, and still did it when he was in yr 6 and having friends over for sleepovers on his  birthday. it worked a treat and all the boys loved aiming for the ball, and as a result i got to use the loo without stepping in a puddle!
