i was sitting here thinking about my eldest son and the awfull time that we went through with him when the wrong medicatiopn was prescribed to him , we found that he would get realy upset easy and angry and would make silly decisions the things that he would
do were just wrong so i took him to a dr who sent us to a mental health centre there they diagnosed him with a personality disorder we were shocked, we were given a script for epilim and told that he was to take this medication every day it was around aweek and a halfe that we things were not wright , and the day things started to go wrong was awful the slightest thing would set him off he would punch walls shake , he was uncontrolable, everyday you would worry that nothing send him off , on the first bad occasion he was upset over something small he started to shake his eyes went funny he made an awfull noise then exploded he smashed his bedroom window with his fist punched holes in the wall he would get something and cut himself on the arms his chest, then he would fall to the ground and have a fit it was the worst thing that i have ever seen all i could do was hold him till he stoped shaking he would fall asleep when he woke after haveing quiet a few of these eppisodes i would have cleaned up what i could as it upset him so much as he didn't rember anything the last time this happened he woke with cuts on himself and his room trashed he sat up looked around and cried and beged me mum please help me what is wrong with me that devistated me as i didnt know i could not find anyone that had answers so i said to my son that i no longer wanted him taking the medication together we flushed the tablets down the toilet within a couple of days the diffrence in my son was amazing there was no more self harm no more police or ambulances called to my home i eventually took him to another specialist who ran tests and ct scans we now know that he has a cyst on the front part of his brain that effects his behaviour and his mood the tablets should never have been given to him as the outcome could have been much worse if the first dr we saw ran more tests all this could have been avoided he is now under another dr and it has been great he has to decied if he wants to have an opperation to remove the cyst or not but there is complications so that will be his decision i am just glad that i had the sence to get rid of the medication i just wished i did it sooner
