Kid's Portraits in Legos via Brick-o-lizer

DragonEgg by DragonEgg Talking Back(August 2006) (rank 83rd)
This is a neat concept; turning your children's portraits into a ... um.... not quite sure WHAT it would be called, but turn their picture into a portrait made up of Lego Bricks!  Obviously this is for somebody who has a lot more patience than I do but could be
fun none-the-less.

The official website can be found at shop.lego.com/shopmosaic/default_s.asp but there was a person who created wrote a blog on another version of the Brick-o-lizer using Photoshop, which can be read at http://www.ascentstage.com/archives/2006/06/how_to_create_a_1.html

Either way it sounds like a cool idea overall.

Tried it.

I tried this but I think I will have to set aside some time to do it properly.

Cool!
Just been playing on the Lego site lego-fying myself and my boys. Would make a really unusual present to do this for someone, but I'd have to like them a lot to go to the bother of ordering all those bits of lego...

However the boys and I might have some fun tomorrow making littler faces out of the lego bricks we've already got...(you might even get to see pics if they're not compeltely awful!)
