Preterm Labour can vary from each person.
1. You'll experience contractions, even though they may not be painful, they will be approximately 10 mintues apart or closer.
2. You may experience a low dull backach which is normally below the waistline, and can be consistant, or can
come and go. When I had the backach it felt more like pressure at my lower back.
3. You may experience stomach cramps, which can be diarrhea, or just light contractions.
4. You will probably feel pressure in your pelis, or vaginal area. It may feel like the baby is pushing low in your pelvis, or that the baby is heavy. This pressure may come and go.
5. At some point you will get a leaking or a gushing of fluid. This is when your "water breaks" and you feel a constant light or heavy flow of water coming from your vagina. You'll know if its your water breaking if you can't control it unlike peeing. For the first time that I went into "labour" i had some fluid leaking, but not a lot though. So if you are in preterm labour it may be just a false alarm. Normally after your water breaks your contractions pick up and the pain gets worse.
6. You may experience menstrual like cramps. This will be like the cramps you get when you got your period or before you got your period.
7. Good chances are you'll get changes in discharge. You'll see that it can get to be watery, mucousy, or a bit bloody that comes from your vagina. Good chances are is that your mucous plug has let go.
