Learning new things

Shama by Shama Standing(April 2008) (rank 500+)

With my son being 2, he is learning alot of new things, whether it be at daycare or at home.

What I have found to be a great learning tool for him & he loves it, is to sit down & draw with him while he draws & write

& spell his name & words out loud on the paper. Or if you have one, on a chalkboard.

I find kids love to spell their own names & tell a story while you are doing it. It will be a great help by the time they are in pre-school

Re: Learning new things

This is a great first step in encouraging your child to develop those all important skills of writing and reading.

Keep up the good work and support him as he grows into more adventurous learning and then as homework starts coming through the school years.

Peace
