VEGIES THAT KIDS HATE LOL

HI ALL HOPE YOU ALL ARE DOING WELL? THIS IS MORE OF A THOUGHT THAN A ADVICE, I USED TO HAVE TROUBLES WITH MY CHILDREN EATING THERE GREENS, ONE THING THAT I FOUND THAT HELPED WAS ADDING A BIT OF SUGAR IN THE WATER JUST TO GIVE THE GREEN

VEGIES A BETTER TASTE (USUALLY ITS THE BITTERNESS THAT THEY DONT LIKE), GIVE A TRY SOME TIME N HOPE IT HELPS.....ANGLES BLESSINGS TO YOU N YOUR FAMILY........GLORIA (AKA GEE)

ohh and another thought is huney sausages yummo.. cook your snags as normal then add some huney to the fry pan i use half a tub small one of ckourse. let the snags simmer in the kuney for about 5 mins then pour the left over hunny from the frypan all over the veggies.. but remember dkon't simmer to long or the huney will caramalize.. and we all know what that means.. it's burnt lol... love to all.

Thanks for this idea . . I have one fussy eater and have tried many different ways to make her food more interesting. . . I am bot to sure about using sugar all the time but I don't think the occasional bit will hurt so I will give this a go ..

Hi Kellz, when you do give it a try all you need is to put a little sprinkle of sugar on the vegies, another trick to is a lil bit of honey as well (we all know that honey is natural) so yeah when you do try it just remember a little sprinkle and you should be right. hi thanks for the idea i used to do my vegies eg; carrots beans corn and peas . with honey .. after they cooked i'd stir through a spoon of honey and butter. but come to think of it i havn't done that for a while.. the big kids are good at eating their vegies but now my 1 y old is a real fussy eater maybe i will try doing it again thanks for the reminder.. ohh and for the big kids ( husbands) lol try the huney and butter thing with a grind of pepper in it yummmm...

Definitely worth a try, as with everything it is a case of moderation. I do as my Gran,Mum and alot of people did in the past, put brown sugar in the water of bitter veg. Some brussel sprouts and endive can be very bitter and it sure helps. May be an issue if you over loaded your kids with sweets and stuff, but now and again in a bitter veg,I see no problem.

Hi there yummymummyof3, if you do give it a go you can always use honey as well as it is more natural then normal sugar, and i also find that steaming the vegies also help as well, hope it works with your kiddies angel blessings Gee

i used to mash all the veggies up and make them into hash brown look a likes, and they would eat them then.

Yes, my corned beef hash /bubble & squeak used to hide all sort of veggie that DD1 would turn her nose up if they arrived on the plate undisguised! The other thing which always worked a treat was good old tomato ketchup - so I guess that's how I add sugar to her diet LOL! Now thankfully she'll eat most veggie how ever they look - guess she got used to the taste after they kept past her tastebuds wrapped up in mashed potato & ketchup!

Ive found that a pinch of salt does the same trick.

My children have a very low-sugar diet. I would be worried about the effects that sugar in their veges would have on their behaviour and dental health, but that's just my opinion. Im glad it works for you.

hey there monyg83, yes i do know what you mean, have you tried using natural sugar's like honey? also too you dont need to put alot of sugar in just a lil pinch wont hurt a bit. n each time you do it u cut back on the sugar n in the end they will end up eating there green veg without the sugar :) angel blessings
