How to get enough iron? (Tips) |
 |

I am vegetarian and I have trouble getting enough calcium, protein and iron in my diet. Rather than taking numerous tablets I would like to eat! Here are some foods that I think help my iron levels in my experience:
- iron fortified cereals, foods and drinks
- sesame seeds
- leafy vegetables such as spinach
- nuts especially cashews
- dried fruits such as apricot
- orange juice with a feed helps to absorb the iron
- avoid calcium and caffeine as they inhibit the absorbing of iron
