1st Birthday Party

Queen-Fire by Queen-Fire Walking(April 2008) (rank 500+)

This is just my thoughts on ideas for 1st Birthday Parties

1st of all consider somewhere that the children can play such as a baby friendly home or if you go to a playgroup or a mothers group with your kids see if u can hire it out for

a few hours so the kids can play and have fun in a kid friendly environment.

2nd make it fun for the adults as well such as maybe going out to a restaurant for a meal or go to a place where you can serve tea and coffee or serve snacks.

What I did for my sons 1st birthday was that we went to a playgroup hall that I go to on a thursday morning we spent 1.5 hours so the kids that were coming could have a play then we went out to Fasta Pasta for dinner which was good because all the adults enjoyed the meal, and we got them to bring out the Birthday Cake for desert.

When i started planning the Birthday Party I had no Idea what to do then i was talking to another mother at play group and she suggested i ask about the hall hiring. came up with dinner at Fasta Pasta because there were a lot more adults coming then Kids i think it ended up being two 1 year olds an 1 month old and 13 adults in the end.

Halls where they have Playgroups usually hire out as well.  Others ideas, if your not inclined to do all the food preparations,  are indoor Playground.  Or local Parks have really good facilities now days...

I think that first birthdays are more to mark a wonderful milestone in your childs life and to be enjoyed by friends and family alike, and it can be as simple or elaborate as you wish!

That is also a great idea i didnt want to do it at the local park for the simple reason none of the kids who attended could walk...

But it is a good idea if the children can walk i didnt want to take dirty kids to the restaurant to meet his grandparents.

Parties are always tricky things, especially in the early years.  I'm sure this will help many parents who are trying to figure out what to do for their baby's first birthday!
