Getting rid of the sick smell

FremantleDocker by FremantleDocker Talking Back(May 9th) (rank 33rd)

My children never really sick all that much when they were babies or growing up, but when they did, it was a whopper. Most of the sick went over them selves and sometimes in the carpet.

I don't like the smell of sick, and i don't think anyone else does either. I asked around when i was younger what the best solutions were to get rid of the sick smell in their clothing and out of carpet.

Here are some examples and this both applies for clothing and the carpet.

Clothing :

  • Vanilla essence
  • Vinegar
  • Eucalyptus or Tea Tree essential oil's

Carpet :

  • Bi Carb of Soda
  • Vinegar
  • Lemon Juice mixed with water in a spray bottle

I have used all these methods and they all work wonders.

Re: Getting rid of the sick smell

These are really good suggestions and most of us have them at hand in the pantry....no need to use harsh chemicals.  The bicarb is an excellent odour absorber.  Thanks.

I'll remember that for next time, no doubt there will be a next time eventually. I found that vinegar works for getting rid of it from the bathroom, but never thought of it for carpets or clothes.
