your body is about to do the hardest thing of its life, so this is how i choose to help myself. I do believe it helps when your ready to give birth, but i also think you should get at least one personal training session so they can confirm what
you can a cant do. It does depend on what kind of exercise you did before pregnacy. Top types of fitness whilst pregnant is walking, costs nothing and you can breath in the fresh air also gives you time to think. Swimming is awesome as it takes all the weight off your body, nothing better than floating. use a kick board, a pool noodle. Just try not to over do it, its about keeping some form of fitness not trying to enter the world olympics.
I did alot of boxing the bag and with the pads,(I had the rocky theme song in my head, lol) i also went to weight training classes with a trainer keeping an eye on me. He kept telling me to take it easy, I was. I did light weights just longer repartitons. A cross trainer is great too as you dont impact either.Side leg raises, squats with a fit ball up against the wall to support your back , push ups against a wall to was great for my arms,Swimming even though my bathers didnt fit, lol. Toward the end I didnt walk to far away form home as i had thoughts of going into labour ten blocks from home, talk about a nightmare.
Toward the end of pregancy I was told to try and walk to help bring on labour, I was two weeks late so Im not sure that works, lol. I ended up with a 3hr labour, now not saying it was just from trying to keep a little fit , but i felt my body bounced back better than i expected. I went back to boot camp at 7 weeks again taking it easy as your body doesnt jump back to pre pregacy days, my doctor says it takes 9mths to put on the weight so give your body the chance to lose it over 9mths too.
I hope this was at least a little helpful
