Well hello, what a difficult time for you. I'ts time to ask for help, have you considered needing an inpatient treatment. Post Natal Depression often arises after a child, somehow our life issues arise when becoming Mothers. I had had issues with my childhood, an abusive Mother who left me
with so many issues and so much damage which I owned as my own failures. I got PND after I had my little girl, was born, I had lots of issues after her birth. After seeking help I'm now greatful for the experence. It gave me a opportunity to receive intensive therapy with other Mum's struggling just like I was. I went on antidepressants, knocked me for six, I felt like I had been hit by a truck but had the opportunity in a Mother baby unit to be supported through it all. I at times too thought it was all to hard but the help was there to hold me while the medications buffered me. I'm now weaning off the meds, I am secure in myself for the first time in my life, I have personal self esteem and no longer look for others for approval. My daughter is happy and developing free of her Mothers issues. Depression is treatable, those that suffer often have a big history that lead to it. Please believe me you can get help, some times a supportive environment with people who are trained can be the begining of your happy and satisfying life.
