Hearing you unborn baby's heart beat.

darkangel6976 by darkangel6976 Speaking(June 5th) (rank 500+)

I never had the chance to hear my son's heart beat unless I went for a scan, so this time round we bought one for home and it was truelly amazing. You sit there and it's surreal, this tiny little bundle is happily moving and growing and their heart beat

is a great way for you and your family to feel more connected. If you have one it means it is on hand when people come visit if you're ok with that. It gave me immense pleasure and at 2:30am when she wasn't kicking and I felt a little worried that I hadn't felt her so much that day I was able to use it and feel reasurred that all was well.

I know it can be an extra cost but you can borrow one from a friend or get a second hand one of ebay/amazon etc and then you can sell it on later!!

The sound is truelly amazing to hear in the comfort of your own home and with the people that you love as not all partners are able to go to the appointments and it can be upsetting for them to have not heard their baby's heart beat! There were tmes I couldn't hear my daughter's heartbeat, I kept up with my appointments and had regular checkups by profesionals.

This is a great present too for father's day!

A very important note: it isnt always possible to hear a heartbeat of your baby, sometimes this is due to the size, where they are laid and how they are laid, how far pregnant you are etc etc. There can be lots of reason why you can't hera a baby's heart beat so do not use this machine as proof. But also do not panic, if for any reason you are concerned please seek professional advice. Do not use this machine instead of going for proper appoinments and procedures-your baby is very important, please follow proper medical advice given to you.

yeah it was great. I tried to attach a link but I couldn't do it-new to adding links!

So here it is

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Prenatal-Heart-Listener-by-First-Sounds_W0QQitemZ250252903552QQihZ015QQcategoryZ87169QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

We bought it from ebay and our daughter is now 10 months old so there are some new ones but this is very similar if not the exact same one. Both me and my husband were able to hear the heartbeat and it was fantastic. We paid just under £10 for it and postage as I wasn't totally convinced it would work and when it did I was stunned!!

Thank you for adding this. I think it just adds a lot to your article because now everyone knows exactly what product you're talking about and it gives them a place to look for exactly the same thing.  I might add that you may want to edit your article adn add it in because not everyone reads all the comments.

I thought you were talking about a doppler, so now I know you're not. :-)   I actually have this one too, but a different brand. I bought it when early in the pregnancy and couldn't hear the baby's heart beat because it was just too early for this little machine. But I did get a kick out of hearing all the sounds in my belly though!  I found mine to be most useful in the last trimester. I listened to my son every morning before I got out of bed. I found that he was always bunched up near the top of my belly, but once I stood up, he got comfy in the head down/engaged position. It was awesome.

Hey, Im guessing that your talking about a doppler. I was going to buy one but then i didnt. Reason being if i couldnt find the heartbeat i would end up stressing out all the time. Its not easy to find the heartbeat all the time and not always is the baby in the right posotion to do so.

Great idea tho, but u gota let ppl know you cant always find the heartbeat.

great advice.

Did you buy a doppler? I think it would be great if you tell us exactly what you got and how much and perhaps a picture?
