Re: I was wondering if it sounded like i was pregnant?
Asked by southern-sweetie227

Question:

I would be if i were pregnant about 3 going on 4 weeks. i have had nausea in the mornings but hardly no vomitting, i dont really have

tender breasts but they are very swollen about a half of a cup size, i have a cough and every time i cough i feel this little ball down on my left side of my uterus, my stomach itches, i have alot of mood swings, i cry alot for no reason and i get angry at just the little things, my tastes are different and i crave hamburger and peaches lol together. i think what makes me think i would be pregnant would be the nausea it happened at the night time when i would have been two weeks pregnant and now its moved to the morning towards the afternoon. im afraid to take a preg. test im afraid it would say no. my morning sickness has slightly gone away and im very tender in the uterine area kinda like it would feel the first time you have sex after going months without it.

when me and my boyfriend had sex he said he didnt ejaculate inside. can you still get pregnant even though he doesnt get off?

My Advice:

Hi there Southern-sweetie,

Im glad you've chosen Minti for all your parenting needs, however we arent psychics or mind readers, nor do we have xray vision enabling us to see into your uterus lol. What we do have however, is a combined knowledge between lots of members who have most likely also experienced what you are going through.

In my opinion (and my opinion is only one of thousands that you will encounter on this site) it sounds to me that you are pre-menstrual. Now Im not a doctor, but I have had 3 pregnancies in the past, and my god do I read alot about pregnancy - it fascinates me.

First and foremost, you say your boyfriend didnt ejaculate inside you. Unfortunately, pre-ejaculate, which is that clear stuff that sometimes comes out, still contains sperm and can get you pregnant. This is why we tell our teens to never fool around without a condom on no matter what! The sperm in pre-ejaculate is at a much lower concentrate to that of normal semen, but yes, it can still get you pregnant.

That said, I really doubt that the nausea you are experiencing is morning sickness. Usually your body doesnt produce enough of the pregnancy hormone until around the 6week mark for you to experience morning sickness. Perhaps what you were feeling is a result of eating bad food or a stomach virus? PMS (Pre-menstrual-stress) can also cause nausea and vomitting for some.

The increase in breast size you have mentioned could also very well be PMS. It is natural for some women to increase anywhere up to a cup size during the 2 weeks before her period. Or have you put on weight lately? That could also be an explanation for it.

That 'little ball' you feel in your uterus every time you cough could just be ligaments tightening and stretching and can sometimes feel like a knot when you cough.

The mood swings and high emotions running also sound like PMS but can also be caused by mental illness, (not saying you are mentally ill, just ruling out everything that comes to mind.) or tiredness, or just the fact that youve had a big day.

I cant really explain the cravings, but I know I crave milk when I have PMS so it could be that.. Now Im not saying that youre definately not pregnant, but this is just how it sounds to me. Do you WANT to be pregnant? If so, are you prepared to put your whole life on hold? Babies are such a rewarding thing but god its alot of work and something you must be fully committed to.

Anyway I hope my advice has helped to ease some of your worries, good luck with it all and let us know what the results say when you finally do that test :)

Re: Am I pregnant? Dispelling the myths.

There are a wide variety of symptoms that can mean you are pregnant, due for your period, (as illustrated above), or even suffering from some other ailment - it pays to at least take a pregnancy and/or follow up with your doctor if you have real concerns.  There is a slight possiblility that southern-sweetie227 might be pregnant or have some other health issue, as with any femail having unprotected sex, regardless of whether their partners ejaculates inside them.
