lactose intolerence problems

Re: Runny Poo
Asked by allyp

Question:

Maybe someone can help me out a little.
I believe that my daughter is lactose intolerant, her poo has been nothing but very runny, never solid at all. I changed her milk(from 2%) to be

lactose free(Lactaid) and her poo is still runny.

What milk could I put her on? Goats milk?

My Advice:

alot of children are lactose intolerant and do out grow it, as for  runny poop it is possible that changing milk products/ brands constantly there stomachs dont get time to get use to a srtain brand and can be a bit messy. try a soy

milk but allow atleast 1-2 weeks on it before deciding its not working, and if one brand of soy dosent work then try another if its still happening then try a different milk.

also a lack of calcium can cause runny poo, so it maybe that there not getting enough milk try a soy milk with added calcium or calcuim supplements.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. But after waiting all those weeks,  i think you are better of going to see your local doctor or health nurse. My opinion.
