autsium and developmental delay

hazel1973 by hazel1973 Standing(June 2008) (rank 500+)

Hi i'm hazel and I have two autistic children ages 4 and 2, Its a challenage but I have developed a method to make it a little less stressful, I let them explore all boundries and I let them express there own way of dealing with therapy and school. I

do alot of activities with them keeping them busy and having fun with them sometimes its really hard but I take it one day at a time if anyone who reads this and have children with autisum i would very much like to be a friend.

Re: autsium and developmental delay

Taking it one day at a time is good advice for any parent, and I am sure it applies even more so for parents of children with autism!  Here is a link to a group on the site for parents dealing with Autism.  I have also added some links to other advice on autism on the site that you might find interesting.  You may wish to send friend's requests to the authors and join the group ; )
