Re: inducing labour
Asked by dannii17
Question:
I was just wondering if anyone who has been induced, could let me know how things went with them?? Such as how long labour took, was the pain worse?? ect... I know everyone is different
but ive been reading alot about being induced and it seems alot more worse then going into labour naturally.
Im really worried about having to be induced but it may be the only option cos i dont think this bub of mine is gonna budge lol
My Advice:
Ok, to start congrats in advance. And just remember the pain of the delivery will soon be a distant memory. :) My daughter was born dec 26 2008. I went in 8pm on dec 25th to be induced. To start they used some cream to ripen the cervix and waited and waited.... nothing happend. So 8am on the 26th they started the pitocin. OMG But ooooo so worth it for my gorgeous baby girl. The pain is very intence and comes on very fast!! Just remember to breath and get the epidural. My epidural kept getting increased because it wasn't strong enough. O and MAKE sure during the delivery you switch from your left to your right side so the epidural medication works evenly. VERY IMPORTANT otherwise ya may be numb only on one side and feel everything on the other side. Well best of luck to you and just remember to BREATH and SMILE!! She will be 6 months and smiling before you know it.
