Re: 8 month old refusing milk
Asked by Annika
Question:
My 8 month old daughter is refusing most of her milk. She has perhaps 100-125ml 3 times a day, and is losing weight. Having already been in the 25th percentile, it's quite
a worry to me. She will however eat her solids until she vomits. Any suggestions?
My Advice:
hai annika first of all no need to worry she will drink soon keep trying.my son was the same when i tryed to put him on bottle feed from breast feeding as i was finishing my maternity leave.he hardly drank 40 ml for 4 days.i kept trying, i tryed changing his bottles with different teats.he didnt touch them started crying when seeing the bottle.as a first time mom i cryed too at work when i ring my huby to check.then i changed his formula ,he started drinking wonderfully.i buyed him a NUKr bottle made in germany,he likes that one as it feels just like moms.i am still feeding him but now drinks both .so try may be these tips.and one more thing try giving her less solids as she will be full with it and wont get any nutritions as babys needs all their vitamins from the formula at this age.if she is active enough ans passing good amounts of urine, and regular bowel movements then she should be ok.otherwise take her to the doc she might be lactose intolerent.wish that this advice helps you and good luck !
