Helping Hand

Kelster by Kelster Standing(July 26th) (rank 500+)

Whenever help is offered never turn it away.  People love helping even if it is small at least they can say they helped.  For yourself it may mean a little you time.

Re: Helping Hand

Welcome to the site, this is a very nice tip... There is also a group for short advice articles that might benefit from little gems like this.

Re: Helping Hand

This is true!  Especially if we don't have any help in the way of Grandparents or family.  I have great friends and we value each others support.  Would love to see this article expanded on too!

Cheers Julie

Re: Helping Hand

Hi Kelster and welcome to Minti. Some Minti members may find your article a bit too short as an advice and not rate it very high. I suggest expanding it and include personal experiences. If you want to have a look at the list of articles that have been written, it'll give you an idea of what people inlclude in their articles. Also, please check out RachelCook's Minti Editorial Guidelines. Is is a great guide to writing articles on Minti, as well as what constitutes "parenting" articles.

Good luck.

Re: Helping Hand

Welcome from me also Kelstar!  It is good to have you here with us.

One way you could bulk this out is with examples.  Often it is remembering that accepting the offered hand means more freedom in other ways that often we are too busy juggling other things to think of.

This is one lesson I am learning so slowly - usually I am the one offering help, I am blessed continually when I bother to stop a minute and accept it from someone else.

Peace
EF.x
