Depression
I and others i know have suffered from depression, there are many types that are hard to work out sometimes and thats why some don't get the right treatment for themselves.
I know i feel sad a lot in a week i probably 4 days out 7
but some days by mid day i am feel a little better. We can all feel some kind of sadness when we are faced with problems, personal, environment, death loss of a person or even a pet. If you suffer from depression already this could send you over the edge and you can have a relapse of depression or even increase the level of depression.
If you don"t suffer from depression imagine a real low time in your life like loosing someone you love, and that feeling of emptiness, scared nerves, and not knowing what to do next. Feeling you cant face the outside world, cant be bothered looking after yourself, lack of motivation to clean even have a shower. This is how i do feel when i wake in the mornings.....I do have a sign fridge that say: IT WILL BE OK ....ONE STEP AT A TIME.
Years ago Depression wasn't treated a a serious medical condition but this day and age it is considered to quite serious. Years ago you where to go home and put your feet up and it will pass but now there are so many options that it does take a long time to get it right.
In this day and age there is a lot of help out there and most of the help is in front of us but we don't know where to look and who to turn too. Some people understand and some just can't work out why you are always so unhappy. I have a personal problem where i am really depressed and in front of people or people I'm talking to on the phone i act like everything is ok and fine, but inside I'm a troubled individual.
Depression has alot to do with the imbalance of hormones in our brain, there are many sign of depression most are very much alike, sadness, having no motivation and feeling extremely tired all the time, and you really believe that things aren't going to get any better.
I have read that that more women suffer from depression then men. But because women can suffer post natal depression it bring or levels a little higher. PND can come and leave and never return, this is a whole new subject.
Only a certain amount of people are correctly diagnosed, because it can be mixed up for other illnesses like fatigue, real bad pain in the body and most of all sleeplessness. Some day i just don't feel like getting out of bed but its my kids that make me get up, otherwise i would probably sleep all day or just lie there not wanting to do anything.
Things i go through is lack of motivation, feeling sad, Sleep all day some days for weeks and other just cant sleep, Feeling tired all the time, feel worthless and guilty for things that i shouldn't and the big one is feeling like my life isn't worth living.
I do have my good days and i have my bad one but i can usually tell when i do wake in the morning. And i deal with it as it comes and goes.
Depression can be past on through your genes where if mum or dad have it you will have a high chance of having it yourself. If your hormones are changing all the time esp when you fall pregnant and after having your baby can also trigger it off. Abuse of drugs and alcohol can also contribute of the imbalance.
Most common Depression of late has been cause society changes, Struggling to pay bills, living life with all that types of stress can trigger it of and with that you start to feel negative experiences and anxiety.
Seeking help for these symtoms you'll need to go and speak to your doctor . I'm sure there are other places as well but not sure on those.
This Illness is becoming more common as the medical profession are more aware of this condition, where years ago they weren't as aware of this.
There is nothing to be ashamed about if you have depression and it doesn't make you any weaker than anybody else. I have found alot of my friends around me feel like this and thats because of there illness.
For all those that do suffer, keep working at it and step by step day by day it will get better.
