Most babies are now in a head down position ready for birth. 4 % may be in a breech position ie. bottom down. The head may be engaged at this time but less likely if this is not your first baby. You will feel the baby's head settling into the
pelvis.
Your baby's heartbeat is faster than yours at 110-150 beats per minute.
Your baby is now approaching being considered full term at 37 weeks. Babies usually arrive between 37 and 43 weeks. This is considered full term with the middle date being your due date created for convenience. If you are planning to have baby in hospital you can have a test run to see how long it takes to get there. I had early morning dashes with my boys and its quieter and took only minutes to arrive.
You may be unsure of how labour will start or feel like. It is true that all women and each birth is different and you will know once it begins. Try to work with your body and don't fear. Your body is meant to birth.
