Balance Your Hormones Naturally

MotherofJWE by MotherofJWE Speaking(August 27th) (rank 500+)

Question:
Is there anything I can eat or drink to give me oestrogen?

According to an emergency doctor, the reason I am bleeding mid-cycle while taking the 30 pill (as prescribed by my gynaechologist) is because my oestrogen levels are low.  He recommended I should be on

a higher pill.

As for hormone problems, I bled constantly for 3.5 months following a miscarriage so my gynaechologist wants me on the pill for 8 weeks maximum to see whether my cyst gets smaller now i still have 8 days on the 1st cycle and im bleeding .

My Advice:
This sounds like an issue you need to be bringing up with your gynaechologist.  If you were on the pill just  for contraception, then I can recommend a gentler approach on your body called the Billings Method, which I now use and am looking to become a teacher of the method.

However, it sounds like you are on the pill for medical reasons.  What I want to know is, what sort of cyst are you talking about? I am confused because you say your dr has put you on the pill following 3months of bleeding from a miscarriage- was the miscarriage caused by the cyst?    Personally I have found the pill to be unhelpful with regulating hormones.  My dr put me on the pill years ago to help try to regulate polycystic ovaries.

If you were to ask me for my honest opinion, or if I found myself in your situation, I would be looking into finding a more natural way of helping to regulate your hormones (which sounds like you may be interested in doing that if you are trying to consume foods that are high in oestrogen).  For my own situation I found a low GI diet has restored the balance of cysts in my ovaries and enable me to conceive.  I highly recommend reading the Low GI Guide to Managing PCOS by Jennie Brand-Miller.  It also contains other lifestyle changes then just changing your diet.
