How to train your child at an early stage

COLE2008 by COLE2008 Speaking(September 2008) (rank 375th)

hey everybody

i reackon most mothers and fathers have been in this position when there finally become parents for the first time and everytime there cute new baby cries theykeep picking them up on demand well my brother and my sister in-law are having trouble with there cute

new bubs as they kept on picking him up when he cried so now his almost 7 motnhs old he already knows that if he cries he gets what he wants picked up. But it also came to my attention that if you left him crying on the ground he just got worse so i placed him in a walker and played with him until he settled down and he could sit there for ages not crying but having fun watching the things i was doing it also gives you mum time alone or without always holding your child it was great to have piece and quiet as all my nephew wanted was to be up right but this way in a walker your not  giving them what they want your improvising. So if your having trouble in this department and dont want to give in to bubs buy an walker if there old enough and you still watch them closley as you should never keep your eyes of your child for long periods of time.

hope this helps all of youse

I don't agree.  Contrary to what people think - a baby cannot manipulate you.  A baby cries to be picked up because that is what babies do.  They need constant love and attention.

Everything is worth a try for certain!

What counts is finding something that works for both you and baby/child.  I know there are many times I have given ground on something that I thought was not the right thing to do or something that I would have normally passed over, and although that thing may not have worked for me it led me to find a satisfactory result for all concerned.

Peace
