Ectopic Pregnancy

RiPie by RiPie Walking(September 2008) (rank 500+)

Hi Everyone,

I visited the emergency room 2 weeks ago with severe abdominal pain, lower left side to be exact. Had I known better I would of thought I was in labor!! But I had been bleeding for 2 weeks and just thought it was a abnormal period.

About 6 hours later I was having laprascopic surgery to remove a tubal pregnancy. It was 3 small holes in my stomach and it took them 2 hours. Much faster recovery than a c-section, let me tell ya.

The blessing in all of this  is 1. In trying to conceive and not ovulating for the last 6 months was YEAH I can ovulate. 2. Was I didn't know I was pregnant so BAM!! guess what your pregnant BUT it is not a healthy pregnancy so we have to remove it. Had I already knew it would have been so much harder.

The hardest part is being inactive for 2 weeks!! I am ready to get back to work and go to  the gym!! It was also hard to not pick up my 17 month old for the first week. And to be honest I did it any way:)  I also had started to bleed internally so the clock was ticking and I could of died. This was a real wake up call to are already very strong family. So emotionally it was very tough for my husband, it scared him.

We have just been reminded to laugh, love, dance and cherish every day a little more. And I have so much clarity about having another child and what it means. If you want me to explain that just ask. Feeling strong today and kissing my family way more!! Peace & Love, Ri
