Riding Hood with the big bad wolf in tow will really turn some heads! Here are some unique Halloween costume ideas for siblings and best friends that will really shake up the old costume standbys.
Little Red Riding Hood wears black shoes, tights, a dark colored or red skirt and a white blouse and apron. She carries a basket, and of course wears a red cape with a hood!
The big bad wolf wears an old-fashioned long ladies nightgown with long sleeves, and a matching nightcap. Fasten strips of fake fur to a pair of shoes and a pair of gloves, using two-sided tape. Sew on strips of black material for claws. The big bad wolf should wear a hooded sweater under his nightgown, so you can sew or fasten fake fur to the hood, adding ears. If your big bad wolf is very young, sew sharp-looking white fabric teeth around the inside edges of the hood. If he is older, opt for a scary store-bought wolf mask!

Use strips of white sheets, muslin or gauze to wrap up all body parts left exposed by the traditional fairytale costume. To give your strips the look of being old and dirty, first dye them quickly in a pot of black tea and let them dry. Leave a few ends unraveled so your mummy looks old and unkempt.
