Keeping busy for an active baby and for a stay at home mum

indi07 by indi07 Crawling(October 2nd) (rank 500+)

I found I was a little lonely when my little girl was six months old so I joined a couple of groups for parents. My daughter goes to Occ.care once a week which is only five dollars and is run through the preschool. She loves it and it gives me 2 hrs

and 45 min for me time. She is also enrolled in Kindy Gym which is run through the council and is only four dollars a week. She loves it and it keeps me fit too.I also take her to playgroup I get to talk to other mothers and get some great advice. We also have a play date once a week with my friends son.My daughter is a only child  and extremely active, but her life is full and I found she is getting plenty of social interaction

Re: Keeping busy for an active baby and for a stay at home mum

Good on you for getting out there and joining groups and making friends!  One activity/ group/ playtime in the park each day seems to be what many mums in our area do also, it means there is always something for the children to do, and you can be sure of meeting up with another parent you know which means it is more interesting for us also as the children get more independant

Peace

Wow where do you live? I wonder if pre-schools in Perth do a similar thing!! So nice and cheap - that always helps!!
