I had my 6 month eye check yesterday and i thought it might be a good idea to have damiens eyes tested. everything looks fine and the optometrist gave me some tips to help damiens eyes strengthen and also what to look out for. at 6 months they only
test behind the eye to see if its reflecting right.
heres some tips from Luabman & Pank optometrists to help your babies visual skills try
* hanging a mobile above cots
* play hand games and peek a boo
* use building blocks and simple puzzles
* slowly move objects in front of them and watch them follow them and try and reach for them (if at that age)
and heres some things to look out for
* a lazy eye (turning in, out, up or down)
* blinking, squinting or watery eyes
* rubbing eyes alot and they're not sleepy
* red eyes or eyelids
* a tendency to bump into things more then normal or on one side only
* roving or jiggling eyes
* a lack of interest in faces and toys
also remember to protect bubs eyes when outside. hope this helps.
feel free to add any other tips.
