"The Dot Game" is one of the classic kid games I played and my children play too.  In this game, you make a grid of dots and then take turns connecting adjacent dots with lines.  If your line makes a box, you get to put your initial in

it and take another turn.  Whoever claimes the most territory wins the game.

Kids love the dot game, and I like it too, especially the part at the end where I really have to think. What I don't like is the boring beginning part of making the dot grid and filling it in with lines. So I wrote Dot Game Studio, which not only makes a page of dots for you, but it fills in most of the lines so that the players can start right at the fun/challenging part.
