Eczema

taniaa by taniaa Standing(October 2008) (rank 500+)

Hi  there i am a South African who had a child with eczema,And i know what it feels like.al that scratching, itching the rednes the sleeples nights, its realy hard.My child was 4month old when he had it,And what i did help him a lot and stop him from scratching alot .What

i did is i didnot wash him with any perfumed soap,no perfumed washing powder for his cloths.and i only gave him soya milk. And all that help him ,he has outgrowing it,And his now 12 years old.So my advice to you is ,dont wash you child with any perfumed soap, use a cream they call it aqueous gream to wash your child  and to put it on them ,this is very good, and dont rub just patting it when wash.Wash your child clothing with non-biological washing powder.Avoid milk and food stuff as egg,cow milk, give you can give you milk such as soya milk  it is very good,And avoid beding such as wool and taking  care not to overdress or overheat your child.

Hope this advise is a help to you

Re: Eczema

Another thing that can help is aloe vera based lotions, shower gels, shampoos etc.  Aloe is such a versatile and all round soothing/healing agent that if you can get hold of it then it is definitely worth it.  Sometimes it is expensive, so maybe you will need to shop around, I cant remember where I got ours now, but it is great for all manner of skin anomalies - not least eczema.

Peace

Re: Eczema

I have a son with eczema and for a while was giving him fish oil each day.  For some reason unknown to me I stopped.  I have noticed that the eczema has increased since I stopped.  So the oil from within had helped him greatly.  I was speaking with a friend and her husband swears by flax seed oil.  I putting my son back on the fish oil and hopefully the eczema will calm down again.  He is 6 years old.  See how I go.
